Lab1 Light & Movement
Catch the light!

LAB1 CATCH THE LIGHT
26/11/2025

Thanks to this laboratory, we have been able to observe that light does not travel the same way in all media. we observed that light deviates, that is, it refracts because it passes through the air gaps that form between the Orbeez, while when we filled them with water, the light no longer refracted but reflected. Thanks to this, we were able to learn a little more about the refraction and reflection of light. Refraction is when light is deflected in different directions, and reflection is when it bounces off. Thanks to this lab, we remembered things we had seen and learned new things. We really enjoyed it!

Lab2 Light & Materials
Shadow play!

LAB2 SHADOW PLAY
30/01/2026

Objects are opaque or translucent depending on whether light can pass through them. They allow light to propagate inside them in the same direction, so that it comes out again. Opaque objects absorb or reflect light, but do not allow it to pass through them. Translucent objects partially absorb or reflect light and allow part of it to propagate, but they scatter it in different directions. All this allows us to learn about the properties of objects, their composition, their molecular structure...

Lab3 Light & Vision
Capture the image!

LAB 3 CAPTURE THE IMAGE
13/03/2026

WITH THIS EXPERIMENT WE HAVE ANSWERED THESE QUESTIONS : 1. Why the distance? The object must be in the right place to look clear. If it is too close, the picture is blurry. We move it to find the perfect focus. 2. Why the tracing paper? This paper is our screen. It is special because it lets the light through so we can see the picture on it. 3. How do we see correctly? Our eyes are like cameras, but they don't "see." They catch light and send a message to the brain. Inside our eyes, the world is upside down. But our brain is very clever: it flips the picture around so we see everything the right way up!

Goal
One last step before mission accomplished

We have totally enjoyed this mission because it was a very funny experience and we had an amazing time working together as a team. During this journey, we learned how a camera obscura works and discovered that its mechanism is very similar to how our own eyes function. Additionally, we improved our teamwork skills while conducting many amazing scientific experiments. The best part of the entire experience was having the opportunity to speak in English throughout the project, which helped us practice and learn a lot of new vocabulary. We would definitely repeat this experience again without any doubt because the whole mission was incredibly exciting for all of us.
